Accountants and solicitors may only refer their clients to IFAs and just like these professionals, you have the opportunity to pay for the services of your IFA on a fee basis.

All IFAs must be authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and are obliged to offer what is termed 'suitable advice'.
